The old ways to keep fit are sometimes the best.

Ride as much or as little, as long or as short as you feel. But ride
- Eddy Merckx

There's a strong link between rugby and cycling at Beckenham Rugby Club as quite a few players and members use cycling as a way to keep fit during the close season. None more so than the late, great Paul Skelly.

As the rugby season winds up, it makes sense to remind people about the cycling side of the club.

If you want to make some new friends, improve or maintain your fitness or learn the easy routes into central London and save yourself the best part of £200 each month on train and tube fares, then just turn up at the clubhouse each and every Wednesday at 7:15pm to join in the fun. Further details about the cycling club can be found here or by visiting www.beckenhamrugbycyclists.co.uk

If you want to get your bike checked before riding out then visit one of our sponsors, Deens Garage on Croydon Road near the Odeon Beckenham. Owner Chris Penfold will sort you out and rugby club members get 10% off most items.

Don't forget your lights, helmet, water bottles and sense of adventure.
