For boys starting Year 9 in September 2018 or born between 1/9/02 and 31/8/03 - come and join us training at the friendliest rugby club in South East London! (Girls of that age - please see girls details in the Teams tab above or at https://twitter.com/Beckenhamgirls)
We welcome players regardless of background, ability, experience, gender, ethnicity, race, faith, culture, size, shape, language or sexual identity to join the Blue & Gold Family at Beckenham RFC. We have a friendly and highly competitive team and a development squad with a number of fixtures through the season to cater for all levels of experience. We also have 6 coaches and other parents who help too - so we can provide great small group sessions and individualised/tailored support in our coaching.
All the coaching staff believe and promote the RFU's stance that rugby is about teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. We are also luck enough to have a really welcoming and friendly group of players and families.
The coaches take care to ensure that all players are involved in the sessions, irrespective of ability and that everyone will get a good degree of playing time at the various festivals and matches across the season.
We host and visit a number of local clubs throughout the season, play in a number of festivals as well as the RFU Kent Cup, before the traditional end of season squad tour - which is always well-attended and great fun for players and families.
Training is every Sunday - arrive at 11.50 for 12-2pm training. After training, everyone is welcome to join the coaching staff in the clubhouse for a bite to eat and drink - where there is a good cafe and bar. There is also a proper coffee machine in the club-house, with good tea and cakes!
Do call or email if you want to ask any questions, we look forward to welcoming you to our friendly and competitive club.
