Match Preview

So our first ever festival beckons at Old Elthamians, known as the Foxbury Festival. Tradition dictates this is the first festival of the season so it is always a fun day out and all U7 players should travel to OEs. Where you can car share, please do so. If anyone is struggling and needs a lift then please email me and I will see if anyone has a space.

Parking is tricky and the roads close to the ground tend to clog up from 9am onwards. Every club is allocated a specific road to park in to help ease congestions. We have been allocated Lulworth Road, SE9. Please park responsibly allowing residents space to get in and out of their homes. Allow 10-15 mins to get pitchside and look out for the Beckenham U7 flag. There is a pitch guide and match schedule inside the entry programme so please get one as you arrive at the ground.

Rob & Liam will be the team coaches on the day as I'm off at the Emirates for Arsenal v Brighton.

We have 2 teams entered each will have 4 players with 3 rolling subs. Rob & Liam will rotate the players around so everyone gets at least a couple of games. If players dive to score a try they will (should) be disallowed so please remind them just to run over the line and place the ball down. Parents please encourage from the sidelines, but don't shout instructions it will confuse the players!
