Annual General Meeting - 6 June

Dear Member,

A date for the AGM has been set and it is your chance, as a member, to have your say by either
standing for a position on the Committee of your club proposing a motion that you feel will improve the running of your club simply exercising your vote in support (or not) of the two above.

As the club is governed by a set of Rules and Regulations there are certain procedural protocols that must be followed as I’m sure you understand. If you would like a set of Rules and Regulations, please let me know.

First of the attachments is the formal ‘Notice of the AGM’ which stipulates the date, time and place together with the agenda as laid down in Rule 8.

Second, is the ‘Election Nomination Sheet’ which must be completed by members wishing to stand for election of any of the posts listed.

To speed things along I have listed those who are happy to stand again plus known vacancies. If there is any post you would like to stand for then please put yourself forward even if currently filled. All nominations must be signed by the Nominee and supported by a Proposer and a Seconder and returned to me no later than 16th May 2019. If you wish to return nomination forms by email could I ask that the Proposer and Seconder send separate emails to act as ‘signatures’.

Please note that nominations cannot be received from the floor at the AGM itself. Where vacancies do occur the Committee has some flexibility in co-opting volunteers but would rather avoid this route as much as possible.

Please let me have your nominations, motions or apologies for absence as soon as possible but no later than 16th May as this will allow me time to circulate the nominees and motions before the AGM on 6th June.
