A short report by Grace Fentiman

The trip that had it all, mud, dancing, dressing up and a little bit of rugby too.

The ladies enjoyed a 4 day weekend with a visit to Dendermonde where the Flanders open was hosted. Friendships were forged, connections made and some great rugby was played.

The ladies made it through the pool stage with ease, progressing to day 2 which by all accounts was a pleasant surprise. Picking up some injuries on day 1 meant going through to day 2 with 3 subs.

Day 2 presented some tough opposition, drawing their first quarters game against a ferocious French side and narrowly losing the second to a strong German side.

By this stage however the sun had come out, so the opportunity was taken to sit in the sunshine and watch the rest of the tournament play out. The finals were kicked off in style with a helicopter landing on the pitch to deliver the match ball.

We will most certainly be back next year to dance, dress up and play some more rugby!
