The ladies secure another bonus point

Beckenham Ladies started off well and were dominant in the first half against top of the league Hammersmith and Fulham. A try from flanker Emma Gibson and conversion from fly-half Bree Hill put Beckenham in the lead.

Hammers answered this quickly and despite tight defence in the centre they were able to run around the wing to score - converted - followed shortly after by another try making the score 10-7 to the home team.

Not to be outdone Beckenham stepped up their attacking game and hard lines from the centres allowed Lizzy Nicholl to run a hard line and smash through the Hammers defence to score under the post, putting Beckenham once again in the lead.

In the second half Hammers pounded the Beckenham defence and were eventually rewarded with a try.

Swiftly after this Beckenham stepped up their game and Bree Hill, seeing space, kicked a high ball to the corner. Winger Kirstie Long chased and scored; much to the disappointment of the Hammers winger who needed to take some time off the pitch to compose herself.

With 6 minutes left of the game some mistakes by Beckenham allowed a Hammers forward to run through the defence and score - making the final score 24-19 to Hammersmith and Fulham.
