The aim of the Academy is to provide you with a structured, enjoyable environment that in the past has proved to be the ideal stepping-stone into your adult rugby-playing career. This season, it has been very exciting for us to see that 70% of the current 1st team squad are graduates of the BRFC academy structure.

The Management Team have been working hard all summer ensuring a huge amount of effort has gone into planning coaching sessions and arranging fixtures and events – all with the intention of making this an exciting and successful season for our players. We will be entering sides into the Kent U17 league.

Training sessions will be every Tuesday evening starting at 6pm sharp. We would like to invite you to attend these training sessions which start on Tuesday, 25th July.

• The academy aims to develop the players in the following areas:
i) Physical - Training players to compete effectively and teaching them correct conditioning techniques.
ii) Mental - Creating an environment with a good work ethic where resilience and determination are key.
iii) Tactical – Discussing and ensuring basic tactical development of the players in line with that of the Senior Squad
iv) Technical - Develop players’ core skills to ensure development of players of all abilities
• Integrate those players capable of playing with Senior Squads if/when applicable
• Develop players who will hopefully continue to play and achieve much through sport throughout their lives (ideally at BRFC)
• Make BRFC a desirable place to train/play by creating an engaging and professional environment for all
