Club Members Cycle Across Ireland For O2E Charity

Yesterday, club members started on an epic cycle from Mizen Head in County Cork to Malin Head in County Donegal. Many club members, new and old, will recognise the names of these amazing folks. Alan McGinley, Lee McGinley, Conaill McGinley, Pat Markey. They are supported by their loyal and equally amazing crew: Howard Roadnight (our President), Paul Slattery (aka the machine), Dave Caddy (total legend), Kevin 'Sponge' Smith (another total legend) and Pat Moran (a thoroughly nice chap who likes a Guinness)!
Just to put this in context, they are cycling from the most southerly point in Ireland to the most northerly point, covering a staggering distance of 500 miles and conquering 25,000ft of elevation climb. By challenging themselves (and the update today was from a steep, rocky, hill in driving rain) they will also be looking to raise money for O2e. This is a charity that looks to make a real difference in the lives of children with life-changing disabilities and terminal illnesses and....it was started by members of this very rugby club.
