Liam Conlon, MP for Beckenham and Penge wrote to our members this week to thank them for nominating him as an honorary member of Beckenham RFC. Liam has regularly attended events, matches and lunches at the club and has mentioned the club, and the tragic loss of the much loved Graham Murray, within his Parliamentary speeches.

Liam took the opportunity to highlight the beer festival, which has become an annual community event at the rugby club. Critical to the success of this event has been the support of The Three Hounds, a bar and brewery in Clock House. Matt Walden, owner of the Three Hounds, has supported the rugby club in so many ways over the past few years. He donates a lot of beer, and volunteers his time (and lots of his friends time!) to run the beer festival. We all wish him the best of luck in the competition.
