The rain finally lifted and a glorious spring evening saw the Beckenham Academy face off against their fierce local rivals Beccahamians under lights last night. It was a contest full of blood and thunder hits and magnificent running rugby. A 24-17 victory was a wonderful way to end the season at home. For some players this will be their last game at Balmoral after 13 years as a junior rugby player before they embark on their senior careers. And what a way to go. A fabulous evening saw spectators treated to a game both clubs can be proud of. Many thanks to our visitors and we look forward to visiting them for our final game of the season.

Head coach, Phil Davis, had this to say: "Last night’s performance was the culmination of a lot of hard work from the whole squad, and a huge amount of learning and development for the boys, both as players and young men in general. To see them play such expressive rugby, problem-solve with their mates, and graft so bravely and relentlessly, made all of the coaches and parents incredibly proud.".
