The 1XV took to the road yesterday down to Priestfields in a top of the table clash with Medway.

Last time we played at Medway the game ended in heartbreak with the team losing by 2 points and Medway won the league, and the Kennedy Trophy. After a season in Regional 1, they found themselves back in Regional 2, and like us had won 3 from 3 (with bp wins).

To cut a long story short, after a few yellow cards, one red card for Medway, 4 tries for us from Liam Caddy, Lewis Bunton (2) and Darragh Moran, we claimed a convincing dominant win, accepted the trophy and got back on the road to Balmoral!

The Kennedy memorial Trophy is played in memory of Jim Kennedy, and is a Waterford cut crystal vase. Presented yesterday to Andy Knowles, on behalf of Jake Caddy who had to leave after the final whistle.

A special trophy with strong ties to both clubs as Jim was a Medway man and his brother Steve Kennedy a Beckenham supporter. Our thanks to the Kennedy family for their continued support and connection of both clubs.
