What a way to end the season beating Dartfordians 34-7 at Balmoral Ave!

2XV match day coach Jamie Pinn, (ex first team skipper), had this to say about the teams season and promotion

"As a 2’s squad, it was our first league campaign in the RFU league pyramid system. We had high hopes to give a good account of ourselves. However, we started of the season on a loss to Dartfordians 29-26, not the start we were looking for, with lots of missed opportunities throughout the game, but the best team won on the day, and we learnt from our mistakes and then we proceeded to achieve a 9 game winning run moving us up the league close to the top. We then met a strong Brockleians side losing out 27-7. Complacency played a huge part of this loss.

We needed to regroup and work on our game plan and go again for the next match. The boys knuckled down and we proceeded with another unbeaten run until 23rd March getting maximum league points from all 9 games, we again met Brockleians in a tense game narrowly losing 22-20, the league campaign hung in the balance going into the last weekend of the season just 4 points clear of second placed Brockleians.

We again met Dartfordians for the return match from the start of the season. The squad showed total focus and commitment finishing it on a high with a win of 34-7 bonus point win, taking the league title on 96 points 4 clear of second placed team.

The squad is an amazing group of lads with a good mix of youth and experienced player’s that has grown over the league campaign and fully deserve the promotion to Kent Counties 3. My brother and I feel privileged to have been on the journey with this current group of players and are very excited to see what they can achieve next season"
