Hi everyone,
Great to see you all there today on this cold but fresh morning on a lovely sunny Sunday!! All the boys looked like they where up for a morning of hard work and they sure got worked hard. We are now going to split the boys into there rough positions ie. backs or forwards and see how they get on, this morning showed us coaches that if we pushed them harder they worked harder and seemed to enjoy it, the forwards worked hard in the ruck drills that Jody put them through and the backs ran and ran in their passing drills but they all got better at it as the morning went on, when we put them all back together in the game section today they continued to progress in their match skills.
And on to the “Man of the Match” that one tackle, WOW! when done with that much courage, that trophy is yours all day long. Well done Jago!! Then on to our new “Trophy Ball” for ball skills, well done Fin you sure worked hard and in the game section of the day your passing and handling was much improved it was great, keep it up.
And on to something that myself, Adam and Jody have worked on and discussed at length and think would benefit all the boys over time. We have decided to split the squad into two teams to try and help them develop by playing along side players of the same ability to give them more on the ball time and not just standing there watching the other boys play with the ball so in turn giving them all more confidence, boy’s may be changed from team to team over time and we hope to make them proud of the team they are in.
During training the squads will be mixed up so we can try to teach them all the skills equally. We promise you we will give all the boys the same level of coaching. The teams will take it in turns to go to festivals where we can only enter one team, and now onto the teams:-
BRONCOS STALLIONS
Tom Ward Charlie Stocks
James Allen Reice Hogan
Ewan Watson Jake Griggs
Oliver Cross Freddy Samuels
Gregory Lawlor Freddie Justice
Archie Shipley Jago Burges
Lorcan Nestor Todd Wasson
Liam Walker Ben Pickup
Shay Wellman Fin Tookey
Lenny Oseman
Sam Tildesley
If your names are not in the lists it’s because we haven’t seen you at training for awhile and will need a couple of training sessions to get you back up to speed. I hope you understand why we have done this, please feel free to speak to any one of us at any time … Adam, Jody and myself.
Thursday night training is on 6.30pm (if the flood lights are on) till approx 7.30ish.
The next 3 weeks are at home then
18/03/12 Beccs Festival (one team entered at the moment) then
25/03/12 Kent prelims (both teams entered, also trying to arrange a coach to take us all, then
01/04/12 Old Colfes Festival, then a weeks holiday due to Easter then
15/04/12 Combe Park Festival
so as you can see its coming into silly season with the amount of festivals we have.
Cheers
Tony
