Beckenham Rugby Club v Old Elthamians

Boy winter has arrived! If you weren’t cold today, you must have been a coach chasing all the Old Elthamian boys around (there did seem to be a lot of them) well done to you all in such cold conditions. I thought it was a great training session with the guys from Old E’s they all seemed to enjoy getting dirty, with the tackle practise being high on the list of drills this week with some great effort being put in by Ellis and Liam in these’s drills.

On to the matches the boys were mixed up with O’Es boys and I’ve got to say it they all performed great with Jago standing out to me (where did you get the red track suit bottoms!! Was it to match your boots) shame he had to shoot off. But with the likes of Ewan and Archie’s hard work, Jody’s choice of “Man of Match” was taken by Oliver Cross, Well done.

On a slightly sadder note one of the O’Es boys was taken away in an ambulance today with a shoulder injury as a precaution. I’ll send an email wishing him a speedy recovery from everyone at the club
