Welcome to Beckenham U15 Girls Rugby

Beckenham U15 Girls Rugby offers rugby for girls in school years 9 and 10 in a fantastic, friendly, family club.

We train twice a week with coaching provided by a fun and supportive team including two current players from the Beckenham Ladies team, both of whom are Level 2 qualified coaches. At Beckenham RFC we aim to promote your child's rugby development by creating an environment that encourages fun, learning, confidence building, teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship.

We partner with local clubs to provide playing opportunities for girls at all age groups in a mixture of formal and friendly competitions plus an end of season tour.

At this age group the team consists of a maximum of 15 players.

The coaching staff take care to ensure that all players are involved in the sessions, irrespective of ability and that everyone will get half a game of playing time in each match.

New players are always welcome, regardless of age, experience, or fitness levels - we'd love for you to join us!

Training

Training takes place at Beckenham Rugby Club during the rugby season (September - April) at the following times:

Sunday morning from 10:00am to 11:30am
Thursday evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Please refer to the Under 15 fixtures and results button to see where we are on any given weekend. After training, everyone is welcome to join the coaching staff in the clubhouse for a bite to eat and drink.

The only essential equipment players will need is a moulded gum shield, and a head-guard is recommended though not compulsory. As the weather cools down players should make sure they have a couple of thermal / compression base layers on. You can take them off if they get hot, but you can't put them on to warm up if you don't have them with you in the first place. Rugby gloves are OK to use.

During the off-season (May-August) there are opportunities to play touch rugby in an informal, mixed set-up (men, women, boys and girls U13 and above) - please contact the coaches for more details.
