A great team performance saw WKD, run in 8 trys against the 2nd place team in the league

Arriving through flooded roads to a cold windy but a firm and dry pitch wkd were keen to get going after a long lay off from playing

The team had a few regulars missing but were still able to field a strong side. A strong pack of Olivia Morgan Hannah Fiona and new girl Liela and backs of Erin Ellie Ceri Alice Freddie Soffie and Ella making a debut at full back for the team. First half, playing into the very strong head wind it hard going but it wasn’t long before Ceri scored the first of her 3 tries. Unfortunately the wind hindered Ellie's conversion attempts so it was going to have to be tries to get the bonus points

This half was one going well for WKD with 3 tries to nill at half time with Ella also touching down adding to the brace from Ceri, and Soffie missing out due to referees interpretation. Alice was replaced by Francheska, as a precaution following her recent injury.

Second half a few changes were made with a recurring injury to Freddie and Fiona, allowing Sammy on and Alice to return. Shortly after the start Elli was injured and Fiona returned to the fray moving to centre, with Ceri back at fly half several more tries came in quick succession from Morgan and Alice who converted her own try

It was then that Hertford woke up and ran in 2 quick tries down the right wing, showing they are a good team when they got hold of the ball.

Spurred on by the thought of the bonus point Ceri drove over for her third try converted with a great drop kick.

Hertford again ran in a further try but wkd came straight back with further tries from Olivia Morgan and Alice, following some excellent team work.

Ceri dropped kicked a further conversion to make the final score 46 - 15

With Cerys Luana and Megan to return the final matches will be hard fought for places from our girls. Our new recruit Liela played extremely well getting involved and showing some great hands in open play

Some bad habits did creep back in to the game occasionally with white line fever overcoming a few and some sloppy tackles occurring but it was a good open game considering the inclement Weather condition… Well played all

A good game to ready us for old Albanians shortly which no doubt will be very competitive.

Well played all and many thanks for making the long journey
