Practice focused on passing and tackling

Training on Sunday saw our regular 6 Girls attending. At the start of the session, Mick O’ Rourke joined the session and helped the girls with the passing technique. The girls really appreciate the input, and hope he will be walking his dog, more often at 10.00am on a Sunday morning. With the assistance of Lorene Hooton, the session focused on passing and tackling and as Christmas arrives, the end of term report would be most favorable, with all the girls making great progress. To complete the session, the coaches participated in a 4 aside game of Touch rugby, in which passing and support lines developed quickly and an appreciation of the basics was clearly evident. Great progress, but the main focus is still on more numbers. Keep spreading the word, and putting up the posters.
