The girls rugby section has been going 11 weeks

The girls rugby section has been going 11 weeks and on average we are have 6 girls attend each session, and we have had 15 girls give rugby a go, on at least one session which has been great to see.

On Sunday we had another new started, who was at the club because her brother was playing. She stopped by and joined in, and we are sure we will see her again in the new year. How many sister of boys who play at the rugby club, could attend with a bit of a push.

We have made contact with a number of local schools but it needs pushy parents to get girls to attend.

For the new year we ask all junior coaches to push the opportunity for girls to also attend rugby / fitness session on a Sunday morning, rather than staying at home. All ages welcome.

Our mission for the rest of the season is to try to grow numbers, and rugby knowledge sufficiently so we can attend the and of season festivals either as an individual team, or to partner with another club.
