An impressive win for Beckenham U15 Girls

As the unseasonably hot September weather beat down, all the Beckenham girls stepped up, working hard in both attack and defence, with powerful running, strong tackles, and great support play from both forwards and backs.

In the forward pack, Katherine, Viv and Ruby made their U15 debuts, getting to grips swiftly with the demands of the new age group, and demonstrating some textbook lineout technique. Holly and Sasha both played on the front foot, leading the defensive push and carrying the ball strongly.

The back line welcomed Abby to her new position and leadership role as fly half with great results, as well as introducing Mia on her Beckenham Girls debut, running powerfully in the centre field. Wingers Funto and Phoebe were all over the park, with Funto running in two great tries and Phoebe showing her versatility by jumping in the lineout.

So much fantastic play for the girls to build on, and gratefully supported by a number of girls joining from Old Alleynians – Gabby, Merveille, Bo, Georgia and Jade – ensuring we had a good competitive match.
