Beckenham U15 Girls continue winning ways

On Sunday 22 September Beckenham U15 Girls hosted Dartfordians U15s Girls at Balmoral Avenue and continued their winning ways with an impressive 38-19 victory.

With the Beckenham team depleted of numbers following the previous weekend's tough fixture, Dartfordians sportingly loaned players to enable the fixture to be fulfilled.

This worked well, with a very competitive game right up to the final ten minutes. Dartfordians opened the scoring with a well-worked team try following sustained pressure. Beckenham soon replied with a try of their own, breaking over the gain line and running the length of the field to score. Both teams worked hard in a close and competitive game, with each side taking it in turns to dominate.

Dartfordians showed good control over the tackle area, secured their own ball well and counter-rucked effectively, while Beckenham's strong strike runners and carriers played well off first phase and ran in some long tries. As the game progressed, Beckenham improved their efforts in the tackle area to keep possession of their own ball, with a notable step up in effort from scrum half Morgan Fisher, which turned an even game into a win for Beckenham with two tries in quick succession in the final ten minutes.

A great game to watch and commendable performances from both side. Next week the teams meet again, this time in National Cup action at Dartfordians.
